I need a new muse.
Posting about Dallas would be too weird and pointless. Unless, of course, I was typing up my TV-watching reports on a VIC-20 or wearing an Izod and imitation Ray Bans and really committing myself to reliving 1982.
So I need a new show to fall in love with. I'm up for suggestions. I basically just watch repeats of Star Trek: The Next Generation and CSI when I'm not watching repeats of Dallas and The Hardy Boys. Obviously I need help. Obviously I need the Farriss Brothers to start a variety show.

Have you ever been into watching Knots Landing? It was so much better than Dallas.
FYI:
Oh, and the Southfork Ranch is much smaller than it looks. I toured it as a child and was heart broken to learn it was only a two bedroom house on a very large plot of land. They made it look larger with a wide angle lense. Burn!

Do you remember the original Southfork? The one from the Dallas miniseries. It was so much awesomer than the bungalow they ended up with (burn, indeed). JR and Sue Ellen lived in a guest house instead of in the main house with the rest of the family, which let's face it, is just weird and creepy.
I never did see Knot's Landing and I sadly missed that recent reunion, but I do actually laugh out loud when Gary comes back with Val and they practically look in the camera and say "we'll call our house.... KNOT'S LANDING!" Awesome.

I already commented about it on Mark Black's blog, but it warrants being repeated: naming your house is a great thing to do, and more people should do so.
